Good photography sessions fill up weeks ahead and the great ones go first. Below: the 8 to book early, what each includes and how they differ.
Travel from Medellín to San Felix for a tandem paragliding flight above Medellín, Bello, and the surrounding mountains. Your pilot handles the equipment, explains each step, and records the flight with a GoPro. Juan José, Santiago, Mario, and other pilots are praised for calm instruction and smooth flights.

Ride along Cartagena’s beach with a horseman, with time for a gentle walk, a trot through shallow water, and photos taken by your guide. Carlos is often the guide. A typical meal or three beers and water follow at La Boquilla, with hotel pickup available.

Meet Mafe or another bilingual local guide at Cartagena’s Torre del Reloj for a two-hour walk through the Old City and Getsemani. You’ll sample typical snacks, taste coffee, and stop for professional photos at Centenario Park, Calle de las Sombrillas, and colorful streets.

Spend seven hours traveling from Cartagena to Barú for a mangrove boat ride, raccoon encounter, brief snorkeling stop, underwater photos, lunch, and beach time at Playa Blanca. Spanish-speaking guides handle transport, boats, masks, and hotel pickup, but snorkeling time and group organization can vary.
“Deze tour is zeker niet aan te raden. Onze gids sprak geen woord Engels. We hadden geen idee wat er van ons verwacht werd, wat er werd uitgelegd. Ze deed ook geen enkele moeite en was alleen maar chagrijnig. Ook het snorkelen stelde niks voor. Het heen rijden duurde in totaal 3 uur. Daarna met een bootje met veel te veel mensen naar een plekje verder op. hier waren meerdere boten met allemaal te veel mensen. Hier mochten we snorkelen. We kregen alleen een bril geen pijpje. Deze brillen werden net zoals het trappetje gedeeld met meerdere boten. Ook was daar bijna geen vis te zien. Ik denk dat we…”

Meet near Sonesta Hotel Cartagena, walk to the beach, and ride a prepared horse along the shore for 30 minutes to 2 hours. A horseman assists with photos and can help you trot in shallow water. Carlos may be your guide, with English and Spanish support by phone and WhatsApp.

Join Paola or another professional bilingual photographer for a three-hour private walking workshop in Cartagena. Start at Plaza de Bolívar, review camera basics, then practice portraits, architecture, fashion, documentary, and scenery photography in the Historic Center and Getsemaní.

Meet photographer Deyber or German at Plaza de la Trinidad for a two-hour private shoot through Getsemaní. Choose favorite spots, pose with murals and graffiti, and receive about 50 edited images through an online gallery.
